Spud Bud privacy policy

Effective date: August 13, 2026 · ← back to Spud Bud

Spud Bud (“the app”) is developed by Neil Anderson (“we”, “us”). This policy describes what information the app handles. The short version: we don't collect your data.

Data we collect

None. Spud Bud does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information.

  • The app has no user accounts and requires no sign-up.
  • The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
  • The app makes no network requests to our servers — we don't operate any.

Data stored on your device

Everything you create in Spud Bud — your buds, their sign text, colors, and backgrounds — is stored locally on your device (in an app storage container shared between the app and its widget). This data never leaves your device except through Apple's standard device backups (iCloud or local), which are governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Deleting the app deletes this data.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple provides us no personally identifying information about subscribers. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchase data.

Children's privacy

Spud Bud does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a revised effective date. Because the app collects nothing, material changes are unlikely.
